AI Bangladesh

AI Bangladesh (AIBD) is a volunteer-driven, community-based NPO (non-profit organization) dedicated to the advancement of AI for social and economic prosperity. Inspired by the global "Society 5.0" philosophy, AIBD acts as a bridge between high-level research and local community empowerment, ensuring that the benefits of AI are accessible to every citizen of Bangladesh.

Vision

To catalyze a “Bangladesh 5.0”—a society where artificial intelligence is a common public good, empowering every citizen to solve local challenges and positioning Bangladesh as a global hub for inclusive, open-source AI innovation.

Mission

To democratize AI across Bangladesh by fostering an inclusive ecosystem of Open Education, Open Science, and Open Source. We bridge the gap between global expertise and local potential to solve industrial challenges, upskill the youth, and ensure that AI development is ethical, accessible, and human-centric.

Strategic Objectives

  • Knowledge Democratization: Providing free, high-quality education in AI, Machine Learning, and Mathematics to remove the "paywall" from intelligence.
  • Industrial-Research Synergy: Creating a "Solution Bridge" where Bangladeshi industrial problems are solved through the collaboration of global experts, local specialists, and student innovators.
  • Sovereign AI Development: Developing open-source tools and datasets specifically for the Bengali language and Bangladeshi context to ensure national digital sovereignty.
  • Responsible AI Advocacy: Setting the national standard for AI ethics and awareness, ensuring technology serves the people without bias or harm.
  • Urban Learning Transformation: Turning cities like Dhaka and Chittagong into "Lifelong Learning Centers" where public spaces facilitate interactive tech education.
